How to use theLearningpharmacy.com™

theLearningpharmacy.com™ is a fun and interactive online learning environment for the whole pharmacy team. It offers bite-sized learning activities to help the community pharmacy team develop together to deliver better outcomes for patients.

Each learning activity is linked to one of 10 community pharmacy scenarios which appear as ‘hotspots’ on theLearningpharmacy.com floor plan. These are the large green question marks on the pharmacy floor for the learning topic you have chosen. Each learning topic will provide learning challenges for six or more hotspots.

The challenges cover a wide range of interactive learning; there are videos to watch, quizzes to complete and role play scenarios to take part in. You can choose how to approach the challenge, depending on your role within the team, and whether you are learning on your own, as part of a group, or using it as a teaching resource. There is something for the whole pharmacy team!

About hotspots

When you enter the pharmacy floor for your chosen learning topic, you will see a selection of hotspots which you can attempt in any order. Hover over each hotspot for a description of its learning focus. When you click on a hotspot you will see a description of how the learning challenge will help you in your practice. By entering the hotspot, the scene is then set for each challenge and the activity explained. You will then be guided through the learning activity and at the end of the challenge you will have the chance to reflect on your learning by comparing your thoughts with our suggested answers.

If you are using an ipad then you will be directed to download the Articulate app. The advantage of doing this is that the hotspots can then be stored in your ipad library and accessed at any time. You can also download documents more easily.
